Evaporator Fan Motors
If you notice your refrigerator is constantly running or struggling to remain cold, then you might have an issue with the evaporator fan motor. An evaporator fan motor, also called a refrigerator fan motor, works alongside the compressor to cool the fridge. As the fan spins, it pulls air across the cooling coils and circulates the cold air throughout the refrigerator. If the evaporator fan or motor breaks, then the temperature in both the fridge and freezer compartments will rise. To compensate, the refrigerator will run all the time, using far more electricity than it normally would, and it still might not be able to maintain the correct temperature.
Replacing a single part of your fridge can be far less expensive than buying an entirely new household appliance. At Edgewater Parts, we carry replacement parts for a wide array of refrigerators and other appliances. Get evaporator fan motors for Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire and more.
